National Day Project Research
In preparation for some activities on our National Day Celebration, and in keeping with our topic on Animals and Habitats, we would like to children to carry out some research over the next few days. The children must try to find out facts about the animals that are linked to their house: Dhabi, Oryx, Falcon and Cormorant. For a Dhabi the children can search Sand Gazelle as Dhabi comes from the Arabic word for deer rather than the name of a species. Here are some links to get started. The children will use these facts for activities during our National Day – Tuesday 29th November. http://www.uaeinteract.com/nature/mammal/mam02.asp http://gulfnews.com/your-say/your-reports/how-you-can-help-save-the-uae-s-endangered-species-1.1430372 http://www.uaeinteract.com/travel/keyani.asp http://www.thenational.ae/news/uae-news/environment/rare-cormorants-under-threat-in-emirate Year 4 Team
